2006 Nitro Buggy Pointscore Series Round # 8

All the hype and excitement generated over the last fortnight about the new circuit design, was well warranted, with 220 metres of very fast and challenging track that incorporated a little of everything from a super fast back straight, high speed braking areas into tight hairpins, a crossover bridge, rough sections, off camber high speed corners, to a very very challenging front straight chicane that caught out everyone at some stage of the event. This circuit worked really well generating some spectacular close racing for the big spectator crowd, with more than 75% of the field finishing on the lead lap in every race. Pointscore series leader Duy Bui finally had his unbeaten winning streak put to end at this event, with Tony Knauth taking the win 2 laps ahead of Shannon Thissen who finished 12 seconds ahead of third placed Marc Christianson and Duy in fourth.
