UPGRADE / RCiD 2008 Points Series - Round # 4
A nice cool Dry Season night saw some hot and fast action take place on the track in the fourth round of the 2008 Points Series, with Xray driver Gary Bui taking the Round 1 win ahead of Gavin Newman - Xray and Marc Christianson - Losi in third. Round 2 saw Skip Jackson - HN X1CR take the round win with an awesome drive ahead of Gavin Newman again in second and Marc Christianson unable to break through in the early rounds finishing in third, with John Chau - Kyosho in fourth and Gary Bui rounding out the Top 5. Round 3 again had the two Xray drivers Gary Bui and Gavin Newman battling out for the round win with Gary taking the top spot with Neil Ingram - MBX5R third, Tam Bui - Xray fourth and Marc Christianson fifth. Round 4 finally saw Marc Christianson break through for a round win ahead of the consistent Gavin Newman who was holding the overall points lead for the event having finished second in every round during the night and Shaun Rawlings - Xray putting on a great show to finish in third, Shaun's Xray fitted with a Force pullstart engine did an awesome job of holding out the high powered engines of Skip Jackson in fourth and Nigel Ellis HN X1CR in fifth. Round 5 the final round of event saw the overall points standing at Gavin Newman 8 points, Marc Christianson 12 points and Gary Bui rounding out the Top 3 on 13 points, Gary Bui took the final race win ahead of Marc and Gavin with Phillip Ciccone - MBX5R finishing strong in fourth to hold off Nigel Ellis in fifth, Neil Ingram sixth, Skip Jackson, John Chau, Kyle Hodges, Shaun Rawlings rounding out the Top 10.
