Newman and Xray 808 Dominates the Masters
Saturday 20th
After finishing night 1 with a commanding lead Newman kept it all together on night 2 to take a dominating win over Mick Brice and Gary Bui, with Xray 808 taking all bar one podium position in all classes. Newman putting on an awesome display all weekend, Brice getting his setup quickly to keep the pressure on over all the 10 rounds, and the always fast Gary Bui proving he is still one of the quickest drivers setting the fastest lap at 31.272 seconds on the new circuit, which proved to be a very challenging design, with some drivers commenting that the level of grip was to high early in the event, not something you hear often in dirt racing!! Hyper 9 driver Tony Knauth struggled all weekend with setup to finish fourth outright, with X1CR driver Kyle Hodges fifth. Junior driver Tom Jones pushed his 808 hard all weekend to finish 11 points ahead of closest rival Jesse Newman 808, with Henry Bui 808 one point behind, the junior drivers putting on a spectacular show with a great battle going on throughout. And finally the Sport Buggy class saw John Chau 808 stand on the podium for the first time ever to take a hard fought win over Mark Sinclair 808, with Dean Baker driving a Caster EX1 Fusion finishing in third.

Gavin Newman - Xray 808 holds a commanding lead after the first 5 rounds, with visiting driver Mick Brice - Xray 808 pushing hard in second, with local favourite Gary Bui - Xray 808 in third, Tony Knauth - Hyper 9 in fourth after struggling with setup on the new super grippy surface early and Tam Bui - Xray 808 filling the Top five. Jesse Newman - Xray 808 leads the junior buggy class ahead of Tom Jones - 808 and Henry Bui 808 in third. John Chau 808 holds the number one spot in Sport Buggy with a slim margin over Mark Sinclair - 808 in second and Dean Baker - Caster EX1 third. The action continues tonight with the final five rounds to see who is the Master at OCR!!!!
