2009 OCR Nitro Champs Series Rnd #2

Rawlings extends his outright series lead !!!!

Rawlings again puts his Force powered XB8 onto the podium to extend his outright lead to 3 points ahead of Tony Knauth, who appears to have finally gotten his RB powered Hyper 9 up to speed, with 3 impressive race wins early in the night.

Round 1 saw Knauth get the holeshot ahead of Tom Jones - 808 and Rawlings, to run away with it to finish a lap ahead of the field, with Tam Bui pushing hard to put his 808 up into second ahead of Phillip Ciccone - MBX6 in third.

Round 2 again had Knauth out in front off the start followed closely by Henry Bui - 808 and Tam Bui 808, with Knauth leading from start to finish it was left to Kyle Hodges - X2CR and Rawlings to battle it out for second and third, with John Chau - 808 coming home in fourth, Gary Bui - 808 fifth.

Round 3 saw Knauth again pull off an awesome holeshot, with a 48.24 sec first lap, with Rawlings right behind witha 49.59 sec, Gary Bui still holds the Holeshot Hero on the new circuit with a 48.02 seconds. In the end after 8 minutes it was Knauth putting a lap on Gary Bui in second Hodges third, Jones fourth, Rawlings fifth, Tam Bui, Dean Baker - Caster Fusion, Chau, Henri Raafs - Hyper 8.5 and Rory O'Connor TTR S3 rounding out the Top Ten.

Round 4 again had Knauth with a low 48 sec holeshot ahead of Gary Bui and Hodges, only to come to grief on lap 5 to let Bui run away with it putting a lap on the rest to finish ahead of Rawlings and Hodges

Round 5 the final of the night, had Gary Bui on a roll with a big holeshot ahead of Hodges and Rawlings, with Bui picking up the quickest lap of the night with a 30.957 sec. In the Bui took the win with Rawlings second, Hodges third, Jones fourth, Knauth fifth, the Top five only a matter of seconds apart at the end.
