Ashleigh Frensham and Hobao Hyper 9 takes out the 2010 Aussiemove International Nitro Challenge, with NT driver Sergio Manalvo driving an MBX6 in second, Ian Haley - Hotbodies D8 third, Haley having attended all six Nitro Challenges at OCR set what has to be a record, putting himself into a podium position 6 times in a row. Mick Brice from Alice Springs taking the prizemoney for fourth place, Tim Nicol of Darwin picking up the fifth place cheque.
David Simms retained the FTD, and no one even got close to Nathan Tampe's Holeshot Hero time set on the first night!!!
WA driver Tom Dexter taking home the first place prizemoney in sport buggy, with fellow WA driver Mike Rimmer in second with local driver Daniel White taking the third place cheque.
Ash Frensham took out the Hyper 4x4 Short Course Control class with Tony Knauth close behind in second, Dean Baker third, the Short Course trucks putting on a fantastic show for the crowds, proving how fast they are by getting within a couple of seconds of the Nitro buggy's around the OCR Circuit, with Knauth putting down a 33.345 secs, Frensham with a 33.667 sec lap, the Nitro's running in the mid 31's.
The presentations and closing ceremony while quite emotional, was enjoyed by all with all competitors receiving comemorative gifts and with the beers flowing, the after race talk and a surprise Fireworks display, the End of an Era was celebrated by all with gusto well into the next morning.
A big congratulations to all the winners and to all the competitors that put on such a fantastic show of skill and talent, and to all the spectators that came and enjoyed the spectacle of what is the Final Challenge from OCR, we all thank you!!

I would like to say a huge thanks to all the people that came and enjoyed my event, Ive had a great time, and acheived what I set out to do, and that was to walk away from the Final Challenge, happy and proud of myself and confident in the knowledge my supporters and the people that matter appreciate my efforts.

Frensham extends his outright lead over Manalvo, now with a 9 point split the local gun has it all to do to shut down the Team Hobao driver. Some awesome hard and fast racing has been shown off to the very vocal crowds of spectators, with close racing going on throughout the field. Ian Haley retains third outright, with local drivers Tim Nicol MBX6 and Tony Knauth X2CR on equal points seperated by 8.12 seconds after an hour and a half of racing.
The Sport buggy class has Tom Jones as leader, Tom Dexter second and Mike Rimmer holding onto third.
Nathan Tampe still retains the Holeshot Hero and its unlikely that will be topped, likewise the FTD by David Simms.
The Hyper Truck in its debut on the OCR circuit was a real hit with both the drivers and spectators, with some fantastic close wheel to wheel action shown off. Nathan Tampe and Tony Knauth on equal points in first place sepearted by 6.1 seconds and Ash Frensham third. Knauth with the quickest lap setting it at 33.345 seconds

Hobao driver Ashleigh Frensham leads by a small 2 point margin over local gun Sergio Manalvo - MBX6 after night one of the 2010 Challenge, Frensham is not dominating by any means with Manalvo winning 3 out of the first 5 rounds, Ian Haley - Hotbodies in third spot outright is in contention to take a podium spot for the 6th year in a row!!
Nathan Tampe - Hyper 9 is holding the Holeshot Hero with a 47.19 second, next closest driver is Tim Nicol - MBX6 with a 48.18 secs. David Simms has the FTD with 15 laps in 502.463 secs, Manalvo close behind with 15 laps in 511.557 secs, Simms and Manalvo the only 2 drivers to do 15 laps. Frensham is holding the lap record at 30.596 secs.
Tom Dexter - Losi is the leading driver in the Sport Buggy class at this point with Tom Jones - 808 second, Mike Rimmer - 808 in third.
The action continues tonight with the the next 5 rounds of this gruelling all rounds count event, tonight also brings us the first rounds of the Hyper Truck control class.
