Jackson takes out the Final round !!

Skip Jackson driving an RB powered MBX6 takes out the final round of the series!!

After 7 rounds, six months of racing and more than 500 laps, the Series came down to the last couple of heats on the Final night, with six drivers still up for a podium spot!!! Jackson going into the final round as the outright, but it was Sergio Manalvo as the favourite to take it out.

Round 1 Pro Buggy - saw Manalvo - MBX6 - OS get straight down to business taking the win 0.95 seconds ahead of Marc Christianson - MBX6 - RB, with Tony Knauth - Hyper 9 - Alpha a further 9.21 seconds down in third. Hyper Truck - Dean Baker took the win 4.05 seconds ahead of Knauth with Scott Newhouse 11.29 sec further back in third Dave White and Danny White rounding out the Top Five.

Round 2 Pro Buggy - Jackson came back with a vengance to take a big win over the field to finish a lap ahead with Tim Nicol - MBX 6 making up some ground in the points chase to finish second ahead of Christianson, Manalvo fourth, Tom Jones rounding out the Top Five. The outright points for the night have the Top 3 drivers all on 5 points with under 8 seconds seperating them. Hyper Truck - was all Newhouse taking a big 1 lap win over the field, with Dave White picking up second ahead of Baker, Phil Ciccone and Shannon Ward battling hard all the way the line for fourth and fifth.

Round 3 Pro Buggy - again had Jackson with the win ahead of Manalvo and Kyle Hodges - X2CR - RB pushing hard for a thid spot. Hyper Truck - had the Top 3 swapping places with Dean Baker taking a very close win over Newhouse with a 0.07 second split as they went over the finish line, the pair putting a lap on the field with Dave White in third ahead of Russell King and Ciccone.

Round 4 Pro Buggy - was a fantastic race to watch with Tom Jones - Xray - RB and Jackson battling hard all race with Jones getting the better of Jackson by 0.94 of a second at the end, with Christianson home in third, Manalvo fourth Tim Nicol fifth. Hyper Truck - Again the Top 3 swapped places and paint throughout this time with Dave White breaking through for a win just 2.62 seconds ahead of Newhouse, Baker 6.03 behind in third, Ciccone and King filling the Top 5.

Round 5 Pro Buggy - With this the Final round of the night and the final for the Series, the outright series podium was still up for grabs between Jackson and Manalvo! But in the end was Christianson that came through to take the race win 3.04 secs ahead of Manalvo and Jackson in third Jones and Nicol fourth and fifth. Hyper Truck - Newhouse again took another race win giving him the outright win for the night, Baker held on for second and Ciccone home in third, Logan Wolfe put in a big effort to finish fourth and Dave White fifth.

With the 2010 Homewrap Series now complete and with such a close contest, the Top 2 drivers finishing a mere 1 point apart, what a spectacle the series has been.
