Christianson Dominates the Final Pro Buggy Round!!!
With this the final event for 2010, the racing was hot, the weather gods smiled upon us again with another fine and dry night!! Marc Christianson was in fine form with his Nova Rossi powered Mugen dominating throughout the evening. The big field of Short Course Truck putting on an awesome show, what a way to finish off a fantastic year - 2011 is looking good!!
On to the Racing !!!!
Round 1 Pro Buggy - Knauth - Hobao getting the Holeshot ahead of Christianson and Neil Ingram - Mugen, Knauth struggling with an ill thought out setup change, held on for a few laps but was chased down by the hard charging Christianson about midway through to finish in that order with Steven Peckham RC8E home in third. Short Course Truck - Tony (Olman) Knauth still on a roll in the OCR Short Course control class, taking another win 28.74 secs ahead of Scott (ScooterTrash) Newhouse :), and Steven (Wreckem) Peckham pushing through for a third spot.
Round 2 Pro Buggy - Christianson with a big Holeshot to get away early, taking it all the way to the end to put a lap on Knauth in second, Dean Baker third, Peckham and Ingram fourth and fifth. Short Course Truck - Dean (ToyRota) Baker with the Holeshot ahead of Knauth, Marc (The Judge) Christianson in the mix, Knauth getting into the lead midway through to run away with it resetting the FTD 8 laps 5m24.842 secs taking 2 seconds off the old record, Christianson second ahead of Baker, Dave (Thrasher) White fourth, Newhouse fifth, Paul (Nigel) Mansell, Sean (T- Bone) Stieber, Brad (Mostly) Stott and Beau Harris filling the Top Ten.
Round 3 Pro Buggy -Christianson with a Hatrick, Knauth getting hooked up to make a real race of it the pair pushing hard swapping the lead back and forth, Christianson getting the better of it in the end to finish 1.41 ahead of Knauth, Ingram making good for third . Short Course Truck -Baker with the Holeshot again to lead from start to finish, Knauth getting caught up in a first corner incident, having it all to do to chase down the leader, getting within 2.17 on the line, Newhouse 1.12 secs behind in third.
Round 4 Pro Buggy - Knauth making good in this one to get away early leading from flag to flag, putting a lap on the field, Nathan Tampe into second ahead of Christianson . Short Course Truck - Knauth back in front to finish 7.66 ahead of Christianson, Baker 12 secs back in third, Newhouse and Peckham fourth and fifth, Stieber and Harris six and seven, Gary (Sparky) Clark, Chris (Incubus) Herridge and Tamika (Kitty) Martinelli rounding out the Top Ten.
Round 5 Pro Buggy -The final of the night and the 2010 season sees 13 car race, a very busy affair on the OCR circuit, Christianson and Knauth again going hard at it, to put on an awesome show, Christianson holding Knauth out to take the final win for the year, with Tampe getting up for third. Baker fourth, Tom Jones fifth. Short Course Truck - Christianson getting a big Holeshot to run away with it, getting in 8 laps, the second driver to put down 8 laps on the new B circuit, Baker battling with Newhouse and Knauth to take second, Newhouse third 0.10secs ahead of Knauth, Peckham in for fifth.
