Knauth, Mugen, RB at the Front!!!!
Knauth running an MBX6, RB B11 combo misses out by just 2.17 secs on taking a clean sweep in Round # 2 of the 2011 Aussiemove Championship Series, Marc Christianson also driving an MBX putting a stop to it the final round of the night!!!
Round 1 - Pro Buggy - had Tim Nicol - Serpent, Nathan Tampe - Hyper Star and Knauth with the Holeshot the trio going hard at it until midway through Knauth making a break for it to put a lap on the field Tampe holding off a fast Christianson to hang onto second, Nicol home in fourth, Dylan Thomas with the lone RC8 rounding out the Top5. Short Course Truck - Shane Ussher - Hong Nor getting straight down to business taking the win ahead of Henri Raafs - Hong Nor, with Beau Harris also Hong Nor taking third ahead of Steven Jackson the first of the Hobao's and new comer Adam Davies.
Round 2 - Pro Buggy - Knauth again doing a runner on the pack the MBX6 , RB package working so well on the super rough circuit, circulating just 0.2 secs off lap record pace, Christianson taking second 15.64 secs back, just getting through to finish on the lead lap, Nicol taking the number 3 spot. Short Course Truck - Knauth - Hobao getting away with the Holeshot and resetting the record at 55.20 secs to run away with it, finishing ahead of Christianson and Ussher, Raafs and Harris four and five.
Round 3 - Pro Buggy - Another quick one from Knauth, putting a lap on Christianson in second, Tampe third, Daniel White stepping out of the Durango to run an MBX6 and Thomas again taking fifth. Short Course Truck - Christianson charging hard to take a 1 lap win over Knauth, Ussher 3 secs back in third with Mansell and Harris battling hard for fourth and fifth
Round 4 - Pro Buggy - A clean sweep so far from Knauth again having Christiansons measure putting a lap on the field, Tim Nicol up for third after having a drama filled night, Tampe fourth White fifth. Short Course Truck - An awesome race with Ussher out the front, Knauth and Christianson chasing him down, the trio finishing in that order with 3.58 secs seperating them at the end.
Round 5 - Pro Buggy - A big 13 car race to finish off the night, a very hectic race on the tight OCR circuit, Christianson getting the best of the traffic to put a stop to Knauth's domination over the night, finishing 2.17 secs ahead, with Nicol getting the better of Danny White on the line, with Dean Baker taking the number five spot from DylanThomas. Short Course Truck - 16 Trucks starting the final race of the night, Christianson getting the Holeshot and never looking back, Knauth struggling with a broken lower front arm, staying touch but not able to make the gap, Ussher coming home in third ahead of Dylan Thomas, Mansell and Harris again putting on a good race for fourth and fifth.
Another great night of racing, again welcoming a pile of new drivers to the sport, a couple of new records set in the Truck class, and with the 2011 Mack Trucks Short Course Titles coming in August, we will be seeing some awesome RC Motorsport action coming up.
