Ciccone Draws First Blood for 2011

 

Round 1Pro Buggy - Phillip Ciccone driving a Nova Rossi powered MBX6, takes the first round win of the year ahead of some tough competition, Tony Knauth driving his RB powered Hyper 9, chasing him from the start to finish in second, with Sergio Manalvo MBX6 OS taking the number 3.

Round 1 Short Course Truck - Knauth - Hyper straight onto the pace in this awesome class of racing, setting a 37 sec lap on a very rain ravaged surface, Marc Christianson Hyper with 42 sec lap finishing in second Gary Clark Hyper with a 44 sec lap home in third, Danny White Hong Nor, Beau Harris Hong Nor fourth and fifth.

Round 2 Pro Buggy - Ciccone getting the Holeshot, with Knauth and Manalvo right on his tail, Ciccone and Knauth getting away from Manalvo in the early stages to run away from the field, the pair pushing hard, going head to head onto the back straight for the final time entering the final corner side by side only to encounter a crashed car, Knauth coming out the better to cross the line 4.46 secs ahead of Ciccone, Manlvo taking the number 3, Christianson - Durango and Nicol Serpent filling the Top 5.

Round 2 Short Course Truck - Danny White getting up to take a win in the very competitive Short Truck Class, Christianson 3.63 secs back in second, Knauth 12.15 sec back in third, Raafs and Clark fourth and fifth, Dave White, Shane Ussher, Stuart Lack, Brad Stott, Steven Jackson rounding out the Top Ten.

Round 3 Pro Buggy - Knauth getting the Holeshot to run away with it from the start to put a lap on Skip Jackson MBX6 in second, Manalvo finishing in third under 1 sec behind, Ciccone fourth, Nicol fifth, Christianson, Raafs, O'Connor, Mansell and Ingram rounding out the Top Ten.

Round 3 Short Course Truck - Knauth at it again putting down some fast consistent laps the only driver under the 40 sec bracket with a 38.4, next quickest lap Danny White with a 41.2, but it was Marc Christianson who battled through the pack to take second ahead of a well deserved third from Brad Stott, Stuart Lack and Danny White fourth and fifth.

Round 4 Pro Buggy - Three in a row for Knauth, again putting a lap on the field to finish in front of Skip Jackson, Ciccone pushing hard to get into third 0.41 behind Jackson, manalvo fourth, Nicol Fifth, Christianson, O'Connor, Mansell, Ingram and Barton filling the Top Ten spots.

Round 4 Short Course Truck - Knauth with a big Holeshot, ahead of Danny White and Marc Christianson, an awesome race with a 13 truck field, Knauth getting away in the end to finish 29.16 sec ahead of a hard charging Dave White, 4.1 secs back to Danny White in third, Christianson, 5.2 back in fourth, Brad Stott fifth.

Round 5 Pro Buggy - Nicol, Manalvo and Knauth gettng out in front early on to get away, Nicol dropping off midway through letting Manalvo and Knauth to battle it out, Knauth holding out Manalvo until the closing stages, Knauth getting caught up with a lapped car, letting Manalvo through to finish in front by 5.41 sec, Nicol hung onto third, with Jackson and Christianson fighting it out for fourth and fifth.

Round 5 Short Course Truck - The final round of the night sees Knauth take another win over Danny White , with Christianson third, Lack fourth, Clark fifth, Shane Ussher, Bradley Jackson, Steven Jackson, Dana Offord, Brendan Lys and Brad Stott, rounding out the field.

Well what a fantastic night of racing, track surface grooved up very very well, a great crowd of spectators, 2011 is looking good!!!!!!
