Theres an exciting new racing class that is really growing around the world and that is Short Course Truck Racing!!! And with Hobao's new Hyper 4WD SC10 and the Hong Nor SCRT10 4x4 this class just got better. After extensive testing, we can tell you these trucks are not only great fun to drive, look great, are very fast , strong and handle straight out of the box!!!
The Short Course Truck control class is fast becoming the Premier racing class at OCR, with big fields of trucks competing, and with new drivers joining by the day we can expect this class to grow even further, with brand rivalry now in play between the Hobao and Hong Nor and the trucks edging closer and closer to the Nitro Buggy lap times. With 15 truck fields, awesome race action and intensely close finishes, the Trucks are here to stay!!!

OCR Short Course Truck Control Class Rules and Specs:
- Drivers must use Hobao Hyper SC10 4WD or Hong Nor SCRT10
- Motors limited to 5.5 turn brushless MAX 7500kv (any brand)
- 540 size motors, 1/10 ESC's ONLY
- Maximum 2 cell hard case Lipo, 6 cell Nimh batteries can be used
- Only Hyper 10SC or Hong Nor SCRT10 Genuine Branded Options to be used. (no aftermarket options allowed)
- Other than tyres and rims NO Other parts can be interchanged between vehicles.
- Only Hobao ECR1001 / 11035 or Hong Nor SC-10 and SCS-06 tyres are to be used, tyres and rims may be interchanged between vehicles, giving a choice of 3 control tyres for the class.
- Tyre inserts (foams) modification / substitution allowed.
- Aftermarket rims allowed (must be 1/10 SC only).
- Aftermarket Bodies are allowed, but they must 1/10 SC truck body, fully enclose tyres.
- Setup / gearing changes are allowed.

Kits Prices and Options
- Kit (90% preassembled, requires radio, motor electronics, batteries and charger as per rules above) $300.00
- RTR (preassembled as above, includes brushless system, radio system, requires batteries and charger as per rules above) $450.00

A little more information, these trucks are 1/10 scale although they look as big as a 1/8 buggy, meaning most 1/10 electronics, radio gear and batteries (of course based on the rules below) will fit, so if you already have a Drift, Onroad or Offroad car most of the components you already have will be suitable and will fit into the these vehicles.
(All above options require some assembly, batteries and charger to complete)
Note: Only one standard race fee applies at events eg: If you are already racing Nitro Buggy you can race Hyper Truck class for free!!!
