General:

1. Closed footwear only to be worn on or near the track ( no sandals, thongs etc )
2. Vehicles are to be driven only within the confines of the race track.
3. Vehicles to be driven only in the direction of racing at all times.
4. Vehicles will not be permitted to race in an unsafe, undriveable condition.
5. All areas surrounding the race track etc are to be kept litter free using the bins etc provided
6. Smoking in pit or race track area not allowed. (NO Smoking on any of the concrete areas)
7. Consumption of alcohol and non prescription drugs by drivers during an event is not allowed.
8. A driver may use only one car in any given race, heat or final.
9. Only drivers, officials and one pitcrew member are allowed under drivers stand pit area.
10.Jumping over  track barriers prior to race starts is not allowed, short track must be used to arrive at start line.
11.240 volt mains power is NOT available for general use.
12.Personal lighting, fans, tables and seating etc is the responsibility of the driver.
13.Drivers MUST make themselves aware of all rules and regulations.
14.By nominating and paying, you the driver acknowledge that you are aware of all rules and regulations.
15.Onroad drivers stand area to be used for onroad, no driver will operate their vehicle from the area directly at the top of the stairs, this area is for entry and exit ONLY.

Drivers Responsibilities          

Nominations and track fees:

1. It is the drivers responsibility to arrive at the event with sufficient time to nominate, have their vehicle scrutineered etc.
2. Drivers must complete nomination form and pay race fees, prior to operating their vehicle. Race fees are to be paid on the day or prior to the event ( No Fee No Race)

1/8 Nitro and EP Buggy $30.00
Combine 2 classes $40.00
Combine 3 classes $45.00
1/10 Short Course Truck $25.00
1/10 Onroad / Street Circuit $15.00

All Major / Special Event fees will be notified at the time.

Fees are subject to change, you will be notified prior to any changes.


Drivers Briefing:

All drivers must be present at the official drivers briefing which will be held after practice but prior to racing. Failure to attend will result in that drivers exclusion from that days racing.

Scrutineering:

1. It is the drivers responsibility to ensure their vehicle meets all relevant class specifications and are of safe standard.
2. At all events vehicles may be checked at the completion of any race / heat or round.
3. Vehicles may be inspected at any time during an event.

Marshalling:

1. Marshalling shall be done by drivers or a substitute who has been authorised by race officials.
2. Drivers will marshall the race immediately following their race or as directed by race officials.
3. Marshalls will be at their marshalling point prior to the start of any racing.
4. Mashalls must not perform any repair etc outside their normal marshalling duties. An inoperative vehicle must be placed outside the racing surface until completion of race.
5. Only race officials and marshalls are allowed on the track whilst a race in progress.
6. Failing to marshall when required may result in a warning and a 1 lap penalty.
7. Marshalls should not give preference to any driver in the event of rollovers etc.
8. Gloves and safety vests must be worn at all times when marshalling.
9. Marshalls must NOT leave their post unattended, vehicles should be returned to the pits via other marshalls.

Conduct and Penalties:

Be courteous and honourable, don’t take advantage of an accident you obviously caused

1. Drivers and their crews must strictly observe instructions etc by Race officials.
2. Foul and or abusive language etc will not be tolerated and may at the discretion of race officials incur disqualification from the race and or event.
3. Drivers crew etc and their conduct are the responsibility of the driver, the driver can be disqualified etc in response to misconduct by their crew.
4. Warnings / Penalties may be issued by race officials for the following:
Unsportsmanlike driving and or behaviour.
Intentional hitting of other vehicles.
Consistent or deliberate corner or lane cutting.
Driving in a dangerous manner.
Deliberate blocking, swerving to interfere with another vehicle.
Failing to give way to lapping vehicles during racing, lapped vehicle should hold their racing line when being lapped
Abusive, foul language etc.
Failing to marshall when required.
Failing to obey instructions from race officials.
Jumping the race start.
Driving opposite to race direction at anytime
Using reverse during a race.
Revving engine when vehicle is about to be marshalled, brakes must be applied when being marshalled.
Any driver NOT observing a CAUTION, when Caution is called all drivers must slow their vehicle to a suitable safe speed in the CAUTION area, if in doubt SLOW DOWN!!!
Excessive Pit Lane entry and exit speed.
Other conduct deemed inappropriate by race officials.

Penalties:

1. A combination of 2 warnings in any race may result in the disqualification of the offending driver from that race.
2. A combination of 3 warnings at any event may result in disqualification of the offending driver from that event.

Appeals:

1. Appeals or verbal protests regarding any decision by a race official including lap counting,  warnings etc , must  be lodged with the race official immediately after the heat or the decision concerned.
2. Should the race officials decision on the matter be disputed or considered unsatisfactory, the person may lodge an official protest.

Official Protest:

1. An official protest must be in writing and be accompanied by a $100.00 protest fee, the protest fee will be refunded if the said protest in upheld. The official protest must be lodged within 20 minutes following the completion of the race or decision concerned, and should be handed to a race official.
2. In the event of an official protest a jury will be formed, made up of appropriate race officials and marshalls being no less than 3 persons. THE JURYS DECISION IS FINAL

Promotional Materials / Sponsors etc

OCR Raceway is a commercial entity, this fact must be respected at all times.

1. NO ACTIVE promotion of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity is allowed at any time whilst on OCR premises / surrounds or at any event organised by OCR.
Eg: Verbally or pyshically promoting or acknowledgement of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity. Displaying of any banners, large decals or promotional materials of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity.
2. NO Person shall sell or organise sales of related product whilst on OCR premises or surrounds, or at any event organised by OCR.
3. Drivers may organise to sell their secondhand products at the venue with prior approval. (conditions apply).

Allowed Passive Promotions:
1. Clothing showing logos of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity.
2. Car decals showing logos of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity.
3. Pit area decals or equipment showing logos of any other product, company, shop, event, club or entity. (conditions apply)

NOTE: Any driver or person NOT respecting these rules will be asked to leave the premises.

Sponsored Drivers

1. It is the responsibility of all Sponsored drivers to ensure their sponsors have applied for approval in writing prior to any acknowledgment / promotion of the sponsor, whilst on OCR premises or at any event organised by OCR.
2. Sponsors must list / state in writing what is expected of their sponsored drivers, whilst in attendance at any event on OCR premises or at any event organised by OCR.

NOTE: Application does NOT imply approval.

General Offroad Specifications:

Appearance / Construction

1. All vehicles are to be a reasonable representation of an off-road or dirt track type car.
2. All bodies must be painted (Clear bodies not allowed)
3. All bodies must be securely fixed by the use of clips and be able to be removed easily. Bodies must be fitted at all times.
4. All radio equipment should be securely attached and not protrude through any part of the body.
5. All vehicle components (wings, bumpers etc) should be constructed and fitted in a way so as not to cause damage to other vehicles.

Wheels and Tyres:

1. Tyres must be black except for sidewall detailing.
2. Spike tyres are allowed but must be of pliable material (No form of metal or hard plastic spikes are allowed).

Wings

1. Wings are open but limited to 2, one front, one rear.

Driver Aids:

1. Traction control, active suspension, active telemetry and steering control by gyro are not allowed.
2. Only 2 channels in receiver are to be used.

Radio Equipment:

1. Radio equipment may be inspected at any time during the event.
2. The only frequencies to be used are: 29mhz, 27mhz, 40mhz, 2.4ghz DSM
3. Drivers found using any other frequency may be disqualified from the event.
4. Drivers must have at least one spare frequency to change on request by race officials, in the event of a frequency clash.
5. Transmitters are not be taken on to the track at any time.
6. A maximum of 2 control devices may be used eg: 2 servos or one servo and speed controller.
7. Transmitters may be impounded after official open practice and after each event and only be released for official racing
8. Frequency tags must used at all times when transmitters are active (except 2.4ghz), and are to be returned immediately following operation of transmitter.
9. No transmitter should be activated without a clearly visible frequency tag present on aerial (except 2.4ghz)
10.At no time should a transmitter, other than by drivers involved in practice or racing,  be activated whilst practice or racing is in progress.
11.Transmitters must be powered by internal power source only, and only by batteries specified by manufacturer.
12.Race officials may delay the start of racing due to radio interference, anyone not on their assigned frequency may be disqualified that event.
13.In the event of a frequency clash, the lowest qualifying driver must change.
14.During open practice frequency tags must be used and returned immediately, a 10 minute practice time limit may be enforced if courtesy is not given to drivers using the same frequency.
15.Only flexible plastic aerials may be used ( no metal, fibreglass etc is allowed)

Short Course Truck Control Class Rules and Specs:

1. Drivers must use Hobao Hyper SC10 4WD or Hong Nor SCRT10
2. Motors limited to 5.5 turn brushless MAX 7500kv (any brand)
3. 540 size motors, 1/10 ESC's ONLY
4. Maximum 2 cell hard case Lipo, 6 cell Nimh batteries can be used
5. Only Hyper 10SC or Hong Nor SCRT10 Genuine Branded Options to be used. (no aftermarket options allowed)
6. Other than tyres and rims NO Other parts can be interchanged between vehicles.
7. Only Hobao ECR1001 or Hong Nor SCRT10 tyres are to be used, tyres and rims may be interchanged between vehicles, giving a choice of 2 control tyres for the class.
8. Tyre inserts (foams) modification / substitution allowed.
9. Aftermarket rims allowed (must be 1/10 SC only).
10.Aftermarket Bodies are allowed, but they must 1/10 SC truck body, fully enclose tyres.
11.Setup / gearing changes are allowed.

Onroad / Street Circuit Class Rules

1. 1/10 EP Touring Cars, M Class, Open Wheel Classes (Nitro Classes will follow)
2. Motors - Brushed or Brushless allowed, “NO LIMIT” 540 size motors.
3. Tyres - must be 1/10 onroad tyres, max 30mm width, slick, treaded, rubber or foam allowed
4. Batteries - NIMH 6cell max, Lipo 2 cell HARDCASE only.
5. Bodies - Sedan, Hatch, GTP bodies allowed, NO LOLA style wing bodies allowed
6. A B C classes will be run based on ability.

These Rules are subject to modification as required

Race Program/Format:

Track to be used, race format, race direction to be announced on the day of racing. Excepting for major events which will be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
This information will be posted on the notice board on the day of racing, and also announced at the drivers meeting.

Points Series Race Format and Scoring System:

1. A minimum of five (5) rounds of 8 minute races / heats will be run at each points series event. All Rounds Count (subject to change)
2. Competitors are awarded points for their finishing position in each round, Eg: (based on 20 cars) first position in the round gains 1 points, last position in the round gains 20 points, lowest points wins that round.
3. Points are cumulative over the event, lowest points after the final round wins.
4. Each round is reseeded based on the points gained over the rounds already run. Eg: Lowest points to the front highest points to the rear.
5. A driver can win a round outright from one of the lower seeded heats.
6. Starts are Mass Grid or Grid starts, cars must be stationary on the start line at the 10 second countdown mark.
7.  Any cars not on the grid at the 10 second countdown mark must start from pitlane after all other cars have past pit exit.
8. Round 1 grid positions are random, but also based on driver ability and nomination time.
9. Pro Buggy, Sport Buggy (novice), A, B, C classes are NOT run separately, all classes are run together but reseeded each round based on points gained during the event.
10. No driver is eliminated from racing at any point.
11. There is NO Final, All races / heats count to a final score for the event.

Overall Points Series Format and Scoring System:

1. The Points Series is run over 7 Rounds with the best 5 rounds counting.
2. The 2 dropped rounds are automatically removed, (after the completion of round 6 one is dropped, and then after the completion of round 7, the second is dropped)
3.Overall Series Points are awarded for the drivers finishing position at each of the Series Rounds. Eg: 1 Point for first up to a maximum of 50 points, all drivers after this finishing position gain 50 points.
4. A driver is awarded the maximum points (50 points) for any series rounds that are missed.
5. Pro Buggy, Sport Buggy (novice), A, B, C classes are all scored on the same scoreboard, using the overall points, Class final positions are based on the drivers overall series position.
6. There is No Finals Event, All points series Rounds / Events determine the Outright Series & Class positions.

Timing System

AMBrc Personal Transponders (all competitors are to supply their own transponder)
Laps Software
Automatic Start light system

All meetings will be run using the above equipment.

In the event of equipment or transponder failure

No Manual Timing will take place – Transponders are the responsibility of the driver and are considered as part of the car.

If the majority of transponders or the timing system fails during a race, all scores from that round for all drivers will be deleted at the discretion of officials.

This is a privately owned venue, and is not associated with any club
The proprietors reserve the right to refuse entry to any person or persons.
There are no club fees, committees etc and the proprietors/ race officials decisions are final, no discussion or correspondence will be entered into except by official protest.
The proprietors/ race officials assume no responsibility for delays, postponements, or cancellations, of all or part of an event because of inclement weather, equipment failure, or other valid reasons, if for any reason an event is cancelled during the course of the event no track fee refunds will be given.

Insurance:

The property at the above mentioned address is covered by a public  liability policy.
Although it is expected that all competitors should have some form of personal insurance, as our public liability policy will not cover all circumstances.

Private Practice:

Private practice time / general use offroad circuit is available by appointment only. $10.00 fee applies. (see times below)

Private track hire:

The race track is available for private hire for events at a cost of $200.00 fee and a bond of $100.00 to be returned if the race track is left in a state of repair that is deemed suitable by the track owner.

Major Events

Major events will be run under the rules and regulations as stated above and should be used in conjunction with the supplementary regulations for the concerned major event.

All Local Drivers are eligible to enter.
All NON Local Drivers are by invitation ONLY. (Sponsored drivers see Promotional Materials / Sponsors etc  section)

Race Circuit is open for general use (conditions apply)
